A Fresh 48 session is a special session for those new families who want the first few hours of their newborn’s life captured without having the entire labor or birth documented. Held within the first 24-48 hours of your baby’s life, these lifestyle sessions are perfect for remembering that first day & all the special little moments forever. I will be on call for 2 weeks before & after your due date & come to your place of birth within 48 hours. This is not a traditional newborn session; there is no posing or lights or props. This will just be me capturing your baby’s sweet new moments in a fresh natural way!
Be sure to book early as I only take a limited amount of these sessions due to the on-call nature of them.

The birth of your baby only happens once. It is an intense, emotional & wonderful life-changing event that most mothers will only have a few concrete memories of. As a mom of 4, I know that when a woman is in labor, she pretty much tunes everything out. She is listening & paying attention to her body & rightly so. Hiring a birth photographer allows mothers to be able to see & remember these moments, big & small, of their journey. What I do is quietly capture those moments you will want to remember in a beautiful, yet tasteful way.
Your partner holding you through a contraction, his face as he sees his baby for the first time & you, as you first lay eyes on this tiny human you have grown & carried these cherished nine months. And of course all the details of your journey, as well as baby's first moments. I am never in the way & you will probably even forget that I am there! Having your birth story photographed is also a wonderful way to allow both you & your partner to be fully in each moment! He won't have to fumble with the camera & miss out on being there for you & you will be able to relax{as much as you can anyways :)}, knowing that all those precious shots will be taken care of; giving you, the parents, an emotional photographic memoir of your child's entrance into this world!
Prices do not include taxes. A non-refundable retainer of 1/2 down & a signed contract are due upon booking to reserve your session, with the remainder due at 36 weeks gestation for Fresh48 & Birth Stories.
